Paracuru trip was awesomeness. Ludo was our driver going there. Frenchmen are crazy drivers. Maybe it's just kiters that are crazy drivers. I dunno.
First stop was Taiba lagoon where it was way too crowded for me to kite. Later we went to Paracuru where there was great downwind space. It was my first time in chops (besides Cabarete) but I muddled my way through it. Not feeling the kiteboarding for now coz I tightened my seat harness too much and now, erm, it has chafed me a little. hehe.
From Paracuru, some of the other guys decided to go back to Taiba to do more tricks. Our buggy stayed to play at Paracuru before heading to Paracuru to say hi to the others. From Taiba, our buggy headed back on a rather long perilous journey. it was getting dark and we didn't know the way. Also the windows were fogging up and there were little streams that were like speed bumps that we couldn't see. Made for very painful tailbones the next day. Our buggy also kept stalling and we had to keep getting out of the car to push it. Frustrating, but we finally made it back to the pousada.
When we got to the pousada, we found out that the other buggy was still stuck at Taiba. Taiba is a lagoon with nothing and no humans in sight. Apparently two of the six guys (Nico and Edu) had to walk more than 20 mins to get to the nearest town so they could call our pousada for help. However, while the two guys were waiting at the town for the buggy company to bring another buggy, some random locals found the buggy and helped to start the buggy. The buggy went in search of the two guys for more than an hour and couldn't find them... so... they started heading back to the pousada!!! omg, so Nico and Edu went back to Taiba, it was pitch black and there was no one there. They ended up having to take a taxi back and it was one big mess.
Anyway, everyone was alive. All good. Was rather stressful though.
Oh, and I received a FB msg yesterday from my colocataire! Hello Antoine! :)
